Kicking off September, we have our first weekly sync to our repository. Moving forward, we are looking to weekly sync’s to the repo to provide our users with a bit more predicability of when updates are likely to land. We are still deciding which day of the week to sync and will provide updates in due course.

Cosmic: Updated to the latest release tags of Cosmic Alpha 7 as at 30th August from Pop-os [`repo-release`](https://github.com/pop-os/repo-release) repository. This provides roughly 4 months worth of updates to our Cosmic session with improvements across the board.

KDE Plasma: Further fix up’s and continued packaging as we develop KDE Plasma into a more mature offering on AerynOS.

Steam: We fixed an issue with native games crashing. CS2 was reported as not working but this should now be fixed.

Other package updates include:

- Linux kernel: Update to 6.15.11 (edit 6.16.5 landed in the volatile repo just after sync, it will land in the next repo sync)
- Nvidia Graphics Driver: Update to 570.181
- Mesa: Update to 25.2.2
- Systemd: Update to 257.9
- Unrar: Update to 7.1.10
- Jujutsu: Update to 0.33.0
- aom: Update to 3.13.0
- Discord: Update to 0.0.108
- Rclone: Add at 1.71.0
- Chafa: Added at 1.16.2
- Libvirt: Update to 11.7.0
- Wireplumber: Update to 0.5.11

You can check out other progress in our [recipes repo commit history](https://github.com/AerynOS/recipes/commits/2025-05-repo-rebuild/).

For packagers, we have also landed an update to boulder where it will try to identify the licence of a package when using the “boulder new” command. This is a nice usability improvement as we work towards making packaging as automated and pain free as possible.
